Car Theory Test The Theory Test must be passed before the Driving Test can be taken.
I will give you training so that you are properly prepared for the Car Theory Test.
The Theory Test is made up of two parts.
Part One is 50 questions with multiple choice answers and you need to get 43 correct answers. Most of the questions are based on your knowledge of the Highway Code. You are allowed 57 minutes to complete this section of the Theory Test.
Part Two is the Hazard Perception Test. There are fourteen video clips of driving scenes and you need to identify the developing hazards. There are several developing hazards on each clip. On thirteen of the video clips you can score a maximum of five points and one of the clips you can score a maximum of ten points. You need to score fourty-three percent to pass this section of the test. The earlier you correctly identify the "developing hazard" the more points you score.
You must pass both parts to be succesful. Should you not pass both parts the whole test needs to be taken again. The Driving Standard Agency fee for the Car Theory Test is £31.00.
Once you have passed your Car Theory Test it is valid for a period of two years from the date of passing.
